BOB BROWN
Producer and Managing Partner, Charity Island Pictures
Bob Brown began his film career in 1999, co-founding Purple Rose Films with Michigan actor, writer, and director Jeff Daniels. After producing ESCANABA IN DA MOONLIGHT (one of the top grossing independent feature films in 2001), A PICTURE FROM HOME and SUPER SUCKER, Bob created Charity Island Pictures in 2004. Since then, he has produced three additional feature films. His most recent movie BONNEVILLE opened in February 2008 and stars Jessica Lange, Kathy Bates, and Joan Allen.
Bob is committed to furthering the growth of the feature film industry and Michigan's new creative economy. A founding and second term member of the Michigan Film Advisory Council, Bob was contracted by the state and authored the 2007 Baseline Study - the document used to support the 2008 Michigan Film Legislation.
Prior to his film career, Bob spent 23 years in business development. He created and operated several different companies ranging from workplace childcare centers to performing arts instructional studios and even his own financial services firm. Bob received his B.A. in Economics and Management from Albion College and two post-graduate financial service designations from the American College.
In his spare time, Bob pursues his passion of boating. As his favorite pastime, it even provided the inspiration for his company name; Charity Island is a haven in the middle of Lake Huron.

MALLORY BROWN
Associate Producer, Charity Island Pictures
Mallory Brown joined Charity Island Pictures in April 2008. With a background in performing arts and a working history in film, Mallory has a great understanding of the entertainment industry and its demands. As an associate producer, she is able to combine her organizational talents and creative ideas with her great love of movies. Mallory graduated from Albion College with a B.A. in Economics/Management and French.
Mallory enjoys traveling and experiencing new cultures. She spent four months in Paris pursuing her knowledge of French and is now fluent in the language.
